First of all, this very page...

... and a good half of the verse's basic elements, eheh, were inspired by Dragoness Eclectic! Her fics really made my day when I read them as a child, and really... well, inspired me to become a writer of me own! I couldn't NOT draw from them~. Please for the love of Kami, read them for yourself!

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball SD, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball GT

are the work of Akira Toriyama, Toyotaro, and Toei Animation; the english dub is the work of Funimation! The vast, VAST majority of content is derived from them! All the most recognizable dudes like Goku, Vegeta, Broly, all come from them.

Consultations, brainstorming, 'co-writing', and the creation of plot points

owe their thanks in no small part to my friends seesix (c67f on Discord), stryker (known in various places as Leet 1337, Eeeternalpwnage, KiriK, Pickyman, baked potato, KingRey, LordDerp ("that one did not age well", he says), uh... there's at least 1 MMO where his character is called Mr. Pew Pew... and also just his actual name, Rey, or a distortion thereof, in a couple places), boald (also Bolded1 or Vergil), and OmegaShadowCry!

Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, Jiya, Cashman, and Sachie-chan Guu!

are all the work of Akira Toriyama. They helped flesh out what the hell was going on out in space while Earthlings spent millenia dinking around at home!

Dr. Slump and Neko Majin

are ALSO the work of Akira Toriyama! It, and its characters such as Arale and Z, introduce the concept of the Gag Force/Reflex!

Chobit (not Clamp's 'Chobits'), Toki Mecha, Alien X-Peke, and Escape

were created by Akira Toriyama! they help kind of flesh out what the world was like in the lull between the King Piccolo Wars and the Lower Fifth Age.

Kintoki, Kajika, and Dragon Boy

were all also created by Akira Toriyama. They all sort of follow a similar structure... especially in light of Dragon Ball's plot, but they work as their own stories. They help flesh out the aftermath of some of the Apocalypses, especially the Fourth Age.

Sandland, Pink, and Mad Matic

are all written by Akira Toriyama! They flesh out what more normal humans were doing while monsters like Kajika were running around in the Fourth Age...

Girl Detective Tomato, The Adventures of Tongpoo, Lady Red, and Pola and Roid

were all also written by Akira Toriyama. They show what the early First Empire of Humanity was like, during it's stint in the solar system before the Lunarian Annihilation!

Bubul, Cowa!, Ackman, and Toccio

are also also written by Akira Toriyama, and show what less-than-cosmic demons and divinities get up to!

Dragon Ball Zeroverse

and constituents such as Elder Goma, Jiatai, and Gulite are the work of the Tibet People's Publishing House, and brought to a language I can read by The Dao of Dragon Ball! They're pretty much responsible for the whole idea of Primals.

Dragon Ball Heroes

and characters from it such as Beat, Wairu, and Mechikabura are the work of Bandai! Too bad it isn't avaliable outside of Japan... and every aspect of the story other than the characters was thrown out, heheh.

Dragon Ball Online

was the product of Bird Studio, NTL, and Shueisha, and its remake Dragon Ball Online Global is made by the, uh, the team behind DBOG! This thing gave me a LOT of the starting premise of Seventh Apocalypse, especially subs.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2

is the work of Dimps and Bandai Namco! It, with Heroes and Online stapled onto it, gets its own saga in the timeline.

Dragon Ball Kakumei

is a doujin by Hashaproject! Interesting lore, shame it was cancelled.

Dragonball Z Legacies

is a very interesting fic about Gohan! It obviously doesn't fit into the verse here, but the concepts in it are very cool! It can be read here.

Dragon Ball Kame and 321Y

are the work of Dave-X and the DBM team, respectively! It features the new generation(s) of warriors in their adventures - very cool!

Dragon Ball Centuries

is a doujin by karoine! Super interesting, it's a direct follow-up to the events of GT. And Goku Junior!

Demon Bulma

is surreal and eldritch horror applied to Dragon Ball! FINALLY! God, what took them so long?! By Kishinpain.

Mega Man RPG Prototype

Oh!! New Gadget Super Lovers

is a manga by Naho Ooishi! Shit's pretty meta, but I can safely (in a manner of speaking) say it sheds some light on Sector 6!

Kuririn: Only Human

is a beautiful fanfic by tim333! It focuses entirely on Krillin... in the form of his own autobiography!

Vejiitasei Ascendant

was a classic fanfic by Jeanne Burch.

Tournament of Power - Mirai/Future Edition

is a real cool fic by Pretty_Handsome about the events in the timeline Future!Trunks and Future!Mai end up in.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

is the work of Arc System Works! It's to thank for Android 21, an excuse to have Freezer come back without the Tournamnet of Power, and a way to keep all the alternate characters in Xenoverse without resorting to confusing fucking time travel!

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans

was the first Dragon Ball game I ever played, and inspired a lot of the mechanics of the verse! Made by Monolith Soft and Namco Bandai, it... well, whenever we need even more filler, it's ripe to bursting with the stuff!

Dragon Ball New Age

is the work of Malik! It provides the crazy awesome characters and arcs of Rigor and Aladjinn, plus the concept of Aspect Lords!

Dragon Ball Infinity

... sure has a lot of cool Egyptian stuff going on lol, that probably won't ever be relevant if its story is even included lol. I don't think I even need to credit this I'm just shouting it out at this point

Dragon Ball AF

is... well, a hoax. But the goodish fanmade version was made by Toyotaro! It's responsible for the existence of Nuclear!Xicor, and the look of certain transformations like Ancient Power and Primal God.

Dragon Ball Z Abridged and Short Psychotic Alien Monkey

are respectively made by Team Four Star and LillyKitten/HappyBiteySnake! They're responsible for Nappa coming back to life, and simply a lot of jokes throughout the thing. It's funny shit, mate.

KiBlind

is a fascinating story by Sholio on how the Z-Fighters would deal with a situation where they can't actually use the main thing they have going for them - their ki powers!

Goku Meets His Family and Dragon Ball Z: Dynasty

are the respective works of rjackson244 and Feraligreater328. Really good stories around Goku's reunions with long-lost parents (and Raditz)!

Chichi in charge

is a hysterical fic that very quickly goes off the rails into a completely unforseen, yet desperately needed in this fandom, plot. No spoilers here, read it yourself! By Kettricken.

Dragon Ball After

is a pretty interesting doujin by YoungJiji! It makes surprisingly good use of the evil Goku trope.

Real Men Don't Make Sandwiches

belongs to An English Education! A hilarious, and very lore-y work about the relationship between Krillin and Vegeta.

The Trio de Dangers' Four-Hour Recruitment Adventure

is a fic focusing on one of the other universes – and not one of the ones everyone already knows a ton about! By MrTyeDye.

Raditz's Return, Mythic Descent, and Deciever's Legacy

are all the work of, once again, Dragoness Eclectic! Yay! READ THEM!

The Great Priest's Wife

is a weird blend of cosmic horror and cute by NamineNasha! I don't THINK it's part of DBN, bu the damn thing is alive and hungry.

Dragon Ball Multiverse and Hanasia, Queen of the Saiyans

is the work of Salagir and his crew! It's responsible for the existence of Nuclear!Xxi, the Second Coming of Chaos, and the whole shape of the galaxy towards the Upper Sixth Age!

Dragon Ball Z Elsewhere

is the work of RMK! It's an amazing look at Yamcha, one of my favorite characters in vanilla DBZ.

Frigid Future

is the work of ConnorRambles! While I can't really directly incorporate it, it's responsible for the designs of most of the early androids, Nico and Nimu's origins, and the benarips' transformations!

President for a Day

is a frick-fracking hilarious fic by Darke Angelus! Absolutely hysterical, could not resist inserting it into the Goku Gets A Damn Job arc.

Trivial Matters

is made by Team Dragon Star! A lot of the workings behind the verse interpretation itself are different enough that it couldn't be directly used, but it's still a great look at the ramifications of saiyans being unveiled.

Dragon Ball Z: A Good Man and Dragon Ball Z: Light and Shadows

are by Swanofwar. The former is a great in-depth look at how Vegeta's past as a mass butcher could catch up with him. Probably happened during the gap between Kid Buu and Tarble.

Trunks and Goten Take Over the World and Bring Your Father to School Day

are far more lighthearted entries by Frozenflower! Very comedic, the former probably happened a bit after the masquerade had started to fall apart. Though the Ms. Fujimori would probably be replaced with King Furry.

Dragon Ball Z PRIMAL

is fucking awesome.

Dragon Ball R&R

is a fan audiobook by MasakoX based on the idea of Raditz turning good - and having a daughter! Break Through the Limit is similar, but in text form.

The Long Road

is made by Drakthul! Hands down, on quality alone the one of the BEST fics I have ever seen, this thing... I couldn't actually think of a way to incorporate it, but it had to be honored somehow, soooo it got a cameo of Taro! Its own Taro, not the one from the Broly movie.

Human Limitations

is the work of Epic Yamcha! It's responsible for Zenyark! Or was it Jinkousei...?

Point of No Return

is a great fic by niteryde! It's responsible for surviving tuffles, planet Rithica, the length of a Vegetan year, and oodles more small details!

Who would have thought?

is a pretty interesting fic by wingsofseyfert12. It's not the best written thing in the world, but it's a fun read and I need SOMETHING to fill out the timeline where Cell kills Trunks.

Future that Almost Was

is the work of HeroR! It's a really good fic and fills the same role for the true baseline timeline that the previous entry does.

The Brother That Never Was

is a fic by DBZer16! It's a little harsher on Goku than I would like, but it still captures the idea of 'hey you shouldn't have killed your brother you absolute fuckwit' really well.

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Gods

was a cool fic before it vanished from the internet. It, well, had stellar characterization and an absolute beaut of a fight between a resurgent Kid Buu and the surviving Z Fighters. Used to emphasize how much of a threat daemons can be.

Who wants to be a superhero?

is a hysterical comic by Michsi! It... it is not really important, but god damn it was too great to leave out! I guess I can squeeze it into the Goku Gets A Damn Job arc.

The Saiyan Menace, The Saiyan Contamination, and The Avatar Strikes Back

are all the work of MegaBob452! If it weren't for his excellent fics, Avatar probably wouldn't be in here and Star Wars would be included a lot more haphazardly. Speaking of which...

Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra

are owned by Nickelodeon! These guys introduce a lot of weirdness with ki/chi use, and... well, make it a hell of a time reconciling spirits and youkai.

Star Wars

is owned by Disney, and was created by George Lucas and Lucasfilm! Filled to bursting with yummy lore! I'm a monster please stop me.

Warhammer 40k, Warhammer, and Age of Sigmar

are owned by Games Workshop! I didn't actually lift much more than individual species from the works, but thematic inspiration is thrown around like confetti! Speaking of which...

Orion's Arm Universe Project and the SCP Foundation

are made not by individuals or companies, but the hordes of Anonymous itself! They mostly just lend thematic inspiration, especially Orion's Arm's archailects relative to the Singularity.

Fallout

is the property of Bethesda, and was created by Interplay Productions! While the main setting draws heavily from Warhammer, the immediate Seventh Apocalypse branch takes a lot from Fallout.

Drakenguard 3

was produced by Access Games and Square Enix! It's... not really canon to the verse, but that one scene was fucking hysterical and I figured I could work it in somehow, neh?

Kirby

was created by Masahiro Sakurai and is owned by Nitendo and HAL Labaraotory! A bunch of little background details are sprinkled around, most notably the existence of Pop Star.

Sonic the Hedgehog

is made by Sonic Team and Sega! Similar what-could-have-been situation to Kirby, especially with Chaos Emeralds lying around unused and decaying...

Borderlands

is a series by Gearbox Software, 2K Australia, and Telltale Games! 'Claptrap' appears in a movie of Dragon Ball Z Abridged, and the Warrior ends up being a surprising catalyst for the existence of Freezer himself.

Touhou Project and Seihou Project

are both made by ZUN, though the later was mostly worked on by Shunsatsu sare do?. They straight-up-happened, and lend some variety in fighting styles against the DBZ blasts and martial arts.

Abrahamic, Egyptian, Norse, Hindu (especially Ramayana), and others

are the creations of ancient cultures from around the world! Mythology is a wonderful source of all sorts of things. Especially monsters.

The Cthulu Mythos

is the spawn of Howard Phillips Lovecraft. He was an almost comically awful person, but he knew how to write his cosmic horror!

Doctor Who

is... oh, come the hell on, who know what the fuck Doctor Who is. Created by Sydney Newman, C. E. Webber, and Donald Wilson.

RWBY

is a series created by Monty Oum (Rest In Peace) and produced by Rooster Teeth!

Mortasheen

is a very interesting monster-making project by Bogleech! Also, an RPG is apparently in the works - cool!

Animorphs

is a book series created by the duo K. A. Applegate! It's so dark for a kid's book I love it.

Suggsverse, or Heir to the Stars

is the creation of Lionel Suggs! While I don't approve of his methods, the sheer amount of conceptual-level powergaming is like a drug to a hardcore powerleveller like myself~.

How to Train Your Dragon

is a series of books written by Cressida Cowell! Despite not having THAT much magic or connection, it does an excellent job of showing how humans lived in the lull between common magicks.

To The Stars

is a Puella Magi Madoka Magica fic by Hieronym! It's really good and has hypertech of a sort I haven't seen outside of Orion's Arm~. I kinda stole a lot of weaponry ideas from it.

Ochimo the Spirit Warrior

is the property of Jeff Grub! His work is the source of said Ochimos and the Opawang from Eclectic's fics!

RuneQuest

was created by Greg Stafford! It's really cool, and Eclectic made great use of it in Mythic Descent.

Awawa! Wonder Island and old kaiju movies

were made by Akira Toriyama and Toho (plus a smattering of other studios) respectively! The monsters mostly show up in Eclectic's fic Yamucha's Student!

Timeline of the Far Future

was constructed by the wonderful folks over on Wikipedia! It's filled with science and shit!

Uchuu Kazoku Carlvinson

is an adorable special produced by Doga Kobo and created by Asari Yoshitoo!

Legacy of Heorot

and the samlon in it was written by Larry Niven, Steven Barnes and Jerry Pournell!

After Man: A Zoology of the Future, Man After Man: An Anthropology of the Future, and The New Dinosaurs

were all written by Dougal Dixon! They might not be the most accurate things in the world, but they had some tight creature designs!

The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy

is an excellently written and supremely entertaining series by the late Doudglas Adams.

Facts

is a surreal comedic series by Timotainment! A lot of details are just off from reality enough to fit in the bizarre culture of the subsaiyans.

Wastelanders Anonymous, Schlock Mercenary, Kill Six Billion Demons, and Freefall

are all webcomics that are great, and share certain themes (literary or literal) with DBN! I can't say that that I really used a lot from them in the setting, but even small references should be cited according to my English professor. By Seabiscut, Howard Tayler, Abbadon, and Mark Stanley respectively.

Fist of the North Star

was created by Yoshiyuki 'Buronson' Okamura, and took place in the post-apocalyptic Earth of Sector 6! It was immediately preceeded by...

Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid

which were created by Hideo Kajima, and are owned by Konami! They have lots of nukes. And robots. And psycho mantises.

Monster Hunter

is video game by Capcom? That's about it.

Ben 10 and Generator Rex

are shows by Man of Action Studios. Never watched them, but I like the alien designs and Rex's powerset.

Last Armageddon

was an... INTERESTING game by Advance Communication Company and Brangrey.Mind. Weird monsters!

Oban Star-Racers

was a show created by Savin Yeatman-Eiffel.

Black Destroyer, or the first chapter of Voyage of the Space Beagle

was written by A. E. Van Gogt! The coeurls from it show up in Eclectic's fic Van Vogt's Cat!

Invader Zim

is a pretty cool show by Jhonen Vasquez, and is owned by Nickolodeon. Pretty cynical for a kid's show.

Salad Fingers

is... a THING by David Firth. Surreal, bizarre, disgusting, it's absolutely perfect.

Sisterverse and SISTERS

is the brainchild of my good friend Bolded, or Vergil! Some elements trickle into the lore, though not much more than references.

Mega Man, Mega Man X, Mega Man Zero, Mega Man ZX, Mega Man Legends, and Mega Man Battle Network

are all the property of Capcom, and all of them totally happened! Mega Man Star Force is owned by them too but it didn't... uh, happen in a way that's important.

Mega Man Unlimited

is made by MegaPhilX!

Lucky Star and the Haruhi Suzumiya series

were both animated by Kyoto Animation! They were originally created by Kagami Yoshimizu and Nagaru Tanigawa respectively.

Falling Stars

by Tastychainsaws is an epic crossover fic between the unlikely duo of Lucky Star and Fallout! I love it.

Ranma 1/2

was written by Rumiko Takahashi! It shows how the existence of magic and ki managed to affect daily life as far back as the Second Age.

Rockman 4 Minus Infinty

was made by PureSabe! It's an absolutely stellar rom-hack and occurred in the first of Wily's deleted timelines.

Rockman 2 Claw, Exhaust, and No Constancy

were made by Tsukikuro, DHI, and IKA respectively! They were all jammed together in the Second Robot Rebellion of the deleted first timeline!

Starbound and Fez

are a pretty neat-o games by Chucklefish and Phil Fish! Yes they are grouped together because of fish.

Uplift

is an mmMMMMM series by David Brin! Exceedingly fascinating worlbduilding with a lovely base concept behind it.

Deathworlders (Jenkinsverse)

is a nice verse spawned by Hambone3110. Similar compliments as the above.

Mega Man DOS and DOS 3

were slapped together by Hi Tech Expressions. They are... really bad games, but Volt Man and Dyna Man are hysterical!

Mega Man DOS Remake

was made by DarkLord92. It's a pretty good remake of the DOS games and fits them into a more Mega Man-like format.

Mega Man Ultra and Mega Man Ultra 2

were both made by infidelity! They are pretty fun and interesting games, especially with the twist at the end of Ultra!

Mega Man CX

was made by Zenkaku Himajin; it's one of the most technically impressive rom-hacks of all time and a surprisingly fitting sequel to Ultra 2!

Break Man 3

is a... HUMOROUS rom-hack made by Pixelboy. It's pretty not okay objectively, but I still had a blast going through it~.

Rockman 5 Air Sliding

is a rom-hack made by Yuki Miyuki! It's not super divergent, but it's a very fun variant of Mega Man 5 and the twist makes for all sorts of new game design.

Boktai and Lunar Knights

are games made by Konami! They're very metal-gear esque, but they're mostly just in here because of the crossovers with Mega Man Battle Network.

Street Fighter, Final Fight, Rival Schools, and Ghosts 'n Goblins

were made by Capcom! They both flesh out the role of mystic arts in the wider world, during the time when it is the least common.

Shantae

was produced by Inti Creates and WayForward Technologies! I... honestly forget exactly why it is in here, but it is! It happened!

Miitopia

was made by Nintendo EPD! It occurred, and... it's only here because a friend dared me to do it. So I did it!

Rosenkreuzstilette and Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel

are the creations of [erka:es] and DarkSquid Media! They are really good Mega Man-inspired games, and show the origins of inherent magic in the human race.

Giant Spider & Me: A Post-Apocalyptic Tale

by Kikori Morino is so cute! IT'S SO CUTE! Also post-apocalyptic in that way you rarely see billed as such... where the apocalypse really IS over and everything's almost back on their feet.

The Krion Conquest

was made by Vic Tokai! It's a funny little Mega Man clone, and was actually jammed into the lore to be a sort of Mega Man 0! Not to be confused with Zero.

The Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds and Super Mario Bros

were made by Nintendo EAD and Shigeru Miyamoto! But only the Lorulean side. And only the backstory. And for Mario, only details like mushrooms and koopas pop up in the background.

Metroid, Star Fox, and Pokemon

are all owned by Nintendo. Similarly to Mario, none of them actually ever happened; but they COULD have, and pieces of their histories slip by in the background...

Mega Man X: Whispers In Time, From The Sidelines, and Guiding Rainbow's Light

were all (mostly) written by Erico! Except for the second one, that one is fan contributions. All excellent Mega Man fics, the Human Supremacy League takes its name from the organization in there, and several other details leak out.

Walking With..., The Universe: Alien Faces, All Yesterdays, All Tomorows, and The Future is Wild

were made by Impossible Pictures, Flight 33 Productions, John Conway, C.M. Kösemen, and 'Joanna Adams and a team of scientific experts' respectively. All in similar boats to Man After Man, though relatively far more accurate to science.

Frumple's Quest

is a surreal series by the visionary Joe, also known as UkinoJoe. It shows more life in the Second Age, with influence from Gag Force!

Vampire Hunter D

was made by Hideyuki Kikuchi and Madhouse! Very brutal, very awesome, showcases the noncosmic dark side of magic in the Fourth Age.

Adventure Time

is a pretty cool show created by Pendleton Ward and owned by Cartoon Network Studios! Post-apocalyptic in that distant way that I like.
